…And Now For Something Completely Stupid.
Yesturday in my travels I happened to be at a fast food resturaunt getting something to eat. While there, the lady woman behind the counter asked me if I wasn’t just a little too old to be a fan of yugio.
“What?” I asked with a confused look on my face. She replied with, “Your necklace, that upside down eye is what they use on yugio.” She had noticed my square and compasse pendant and explaned to me that it was a charm from the Jap cartoon show.
Some times I must walk around all day repeating the mantra, “I love people, I love people, I love people.” Well the world needs someone to run the fry vat. One day I might follow the example of Bro. Will Rodgers, but I doubt it.

Brothers and Non alike -
I have been doing a bit of research of my own regarding the symbolism of Freemasonry. Setting a baseline for my studies, I came across this picture:
There are variations to this particular symbol; I have personally seen a pentagram and even a square & compass(es). However, I started to run through some additional symbols and came across this one on my own:
This symbol should be familiar to those of you that have received the appropriate degrees and dissemination of information. Note that the word INSANE is spelled out by the symbol itself. I think I am making progress with this and will report any further findings.

Podcast coming
Hello,
Yes another episode of The Setting Maul Podcast is coming. Recorded September 29, 2008 we have yet to get this one edited together for you to listen to it. Unfortunately we had a temporary walk-out of our editing staff and had to negotiate “terms” but that unsightly nonsense is out of the way and the “staff” have indicated they’ll be working on this very soon.
Schedule:
Tuesday 9/30/08 – 7:00 a.m. get up and work until about 2:00 a.m. 10/01/08
Wednesday 10/01/08 – 8:30 a.m. get up and work until about 4:30 a.m. 10/02/08
Thursday 10/02/08 – 8:30 a.m. get up and work until 6:45 a.m. 10/03/08
Friday 10/03/08 – 9:30 a.m. – get up and work until 5:00 p.m. 10/03/08 – go to Lodge – stay up all night loathing existence.
Saturday 10/04/08 – 12:30 p.m. get up – Loaf around all day still loathing existence.
Sunday 10/05/08 – 8:00 a.m. – get up loathe existence.
Monday 10/06/08 – 7:30 a.m. – get up and repeat something even more obnoxious of a work week than that listed above.
To make this a bit shorter than it could be – the podcast isn’t delayed because of all the loathing of things but because I’ve been working a lot of hours trying to keep on top of my work schedule and keep customer happy – there was a lesson about 8 hours for work, 8 hours for relief of worthy distressed, etc, etc, etc. I guess I haven’t learned that lesson either. But I am zeroing in on a more sane schedule of work while still getting to everything that must be done daily. I’ll work that out – I ask your patience in waiting for the September 29, 2008 recorded podcast.

Crickets.
I thought I’d break the silence with a couple pics. I was traveling through Vermont today via back roads and came across two Masonic buildings. Thought you might like to have a peek. My favorite pic is the stairway cast in concrete outside one of the buildings. It looked to be the perfect size for a GI Joe action figure.
Good stuff. I’m hoping to find more in Maine.
