Great Lodge Meeting on Fryday!

Brothers,

I have to tell you that the Lodge meeting on Friday was great! It did however run a bit long as the Lodge has yet to order there own Lodge Monkey (new from Kadoshko) but, other than that, it was very good.

We had a couple of Brothers from Pennsylvania visiting,  and it never ceases to amaze me how it can be that even though two Brothers can be little more than strangers, we still have that sense of kinship. Outside our mystic circle if someone, who in essence is little more than a stranger would come up and join a conversation I was having with friends I would be a little put off by this, (I guess this is my more misanthropic side) but with other Brothers it truly is a pleasure.

Even though over the years I have had some of my more altruistic visions of the Craft shattered by having been burned by a few Brothers, and by finding some people that are truly reprehensible and disgusting individuals (they no longer are Brothers of the Craft) I still can’t help but to feel a certain kinship with all of those that have gone same path we have all taken before.

That is the real secret of Freemasonry.

Below are a couple of pics I took with my cell. Brother Jim, one of the traveling men from Pen., was kind enough to indulge me by letting me take these photos.

If you have a hard time reading the the second tat it says:

“Jesus said:

Greater love has no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. – John, 15:13″

I Should also mention that these Brothers are soon going to be going to Iraq. We should keep them and their families in our prayers.

Come home safely Brothers, thank you for keeping America Safe, and God’s Speed.

J3
